What is FIFA?

FIFA governs many great soccer tournaments, including the World Cup and the Women’s World Cup. It stands for Federation Internationale de Football Association, or in English, International Federation of Association Football.

The Beginnings of FIFA

FIFA was founded on May 21, 1904. Rue Saint-Honore, Paris, France was the place it was founded. The headquarters are now in Zürich.
